Various colleges around the country are removing trays from their cafeterias. The reasoning is that students won't be able to load up on a lot of food they won't eat, thus reducing waste, and saving lots of water and energy.

A man in Germany fell asleep in a train while dressed as a zombie. The locals, unfamiliar with Halloween, took the blood on his hands and face as a sign that he had been murdered. Once the police arrived they soon figured out that the man was just drunk and had passed out while returning from a Halloween party.
